Bring Teams to a High Performing Level

Before working with a team, Gail always does a survey of its members to understand what makes the team work well, and what diminishes its effectiveness. Then she designs a series of games that start out fun, but gradually increase in difficulty. Eventually, the team will fail, due to whatever behaviour gets in the way in the office. The magic is in the debrief: (What worked, what didn’t work, and how was it like or not like what happens in the office? How could it be different?) Each member of the team leaves with an understanding of how their behaviour affects the rest, and a plan of how they will interact differently.
